Tribal: Tattoo Or Something More

Tribal designs have often been at the centre of art and design, an integral part of many cultures and a way of expressing different meanings through patterns and shapes. More recently however, the tribal design has been adapted into a way of styling tattoos that is both different and edgy.

Personally, drawing in a tribal style is one of my favourites. You can go as crazy as you want to and make any shape, be it an animal of something else, unique and imaginative.

Many people say that tattoos are a way of expressing your personality and they are. But when you compare the traditional lines of tribal art to tribal tattoos it is hard to see how they can be classified under the same title.

Classic is definitely the way forward as it is time for the original version of tribal design to regain the attention lost by the creation of the tribal tattoo.

Chasing Paper

Stationary. Often considered one of the most boring things to buy yet often one of the most essential. Now it seems that stationary has been revitalised and it’s all thanks to everyone’s most fashionable paper shop, Paperchase.

The first time that I entered this shop I was pleasantly surprised. I had always thought that this was one of those places than it deserved but no. Paperchase makes stationary amazing. There is no other way of saying it. From something so simple it has created a revitalising enterprise.

And it even does recycled paper. What could be better?

This is definitely a store that I recommended browsing next time you’re nearby.

Orange Is The New Shoe

Orange Is The New Black has brought women’s prison and their orange jumpsuits back to society’s attention but that is not the only orange that is appearing. It seems now that everyday a new garment comes into view, vibrant, bold and very much orange.

What is a better way to add a splash of colour to an outfit that with a pair of bright orange shoes?

To The Cretaceous Age

Is anyone else super excited for the return of the dinosaurs this summer, in the return of the most recent Jurassic Park instalment, Jurassic World?

I for one cannot wait to see this latest continuation of the classic adventure. Starring Chris Pratt, the movie sees exceptional advances in technology as the scientists on the island create a GM dinosaur; smarter, stronger, one who they have no idea how to control.

After its escape, this monstrous rex turns out to have a much greater intelligence than first believed, as it causes chaos on the island when it begins killing for sport. Sticking to the classic model, there are two children visiting the park who end up running for their lives when their dream holiday becomes a disaster.

Bring on the summer. Not only will I get my exam results but it will be the ideal time to be transported back to an ancient age.
