HOT PICKS: Summer Hats

At some point over the past year it seems that my view of style has completely changed. Last year I would never have wanted a floppy hat but this year I cannot wait to get my hands on one.

Whether it’s straw or fabric, a summer hat is the perfect accessory to a hot dead, protecting you from the sun’s glare whilst also creating a stylish outfit for the outside world.

Whilst many of the hats available are very similar, they all have unique touches that will make them work for you.

Kimono Is King

One of the main styles that has been appearing this Spring is the Japanese style kimono. Printed or plain, black or colourful, this traditional design has been altered to create the perfect bohemian vibe.

Kimonos are one of my favourite things to wear, with the sheer fabric providing a wind break on a sunny day. One style that seems to particularly appeal to people is a floral pattern with a fringe hem. Whilst I currently don’t have a fringe hem, I definitely want to get one.

HOT PICKS: Beach Totes

With summer just around the corner, it is no surprise that people are looking ahead; starting with finding the perfect bag for the soon-to-come days at the beach. I am a huge fan of finding the right bag for every occasion – so there’s no question of investing in a bag for the sandy shore.

The importance with buying a bag is that it needs to be usable; able to carry everything you need whilst lasting for long time. And with so many colours and materials to choose from, a sturdy well-made bag doesn’t have to be uninspiring. It doesn’t have to cost an entire pay-check either. These comparisons show how you can find similar styles that are almost a 10th of the price on some occasions.

Even if you don’t want something similar to a designer tote, the range of bags out there means that you are sure to find something that is perfect.
