Forbes’ list of the 50 richest self-made women makes interesting perusal with many of the most famous faces in fashion making an appearance.
The list itself is varied, with fields ranging from trucking to biotech, but out of all 50 of these women, 7 of the entrepreneurs come from the competitive world of fashion and runway.

A big suprise that I found was that the world’s richest self-made woman, Elizabeth Holmes, made her fortune through the blood testing industry. It is an essential part of medical care nowadays but who would have thought that is would make someone worth $4.6 billion.
